Originally from Montreal, Canada, the duo roamed around Europe for more than 8 years before settling in Amsterdam where they founded the roastery. Dak means “roof” in Danish, and it was a moment in 2019 when Louis-Philippe was sitting on the roof of his home, drinking coffee when he decided to start his own roastery. Dak now consists of a small team of six “Coffee has always been part of our lives, although our love for specialty coffee has grown exponentially in the past few years. After working many years respectively in Finance & Marketing, we decided to pursue our dream, opening a coffee roastery. Dak was born from true passion for coffee and the desire to embark on a journey of endless discoveries. “We select our coffees based on their unique tasting profiles and of course that are 100% fully traceable.
